“Last November 2019, I went into the Marigny Studios in New Orleans with one of my favorite piano players from here Ryan Hanseler.
Playing as a duo has always been one of my favorite things.
It's so raw and when you get to do it with someone that really listens it can almost become a spiritual experience. We set up in the same room so we could really feel each other and connect, and called tunes that we had been playing together on our gigs.
The result is my new album "Just You, Just Me" a collection of songs from the American Songbook, songs by Stephen Sondheim, Ellis Marsalis Jr, Roy Hargrove and more.
